P. E. News
All students are having a great year in physical education. K-2 students are working on kicking, throwing, locomotor skills, parachute and simple games. We will bo doing holiday games in October, November and December. All students are working on their grade level skills assessments. Reports will be given to all parents at the February conference.
Grades 3-5 have finished football, soccer and fitness testing. Fitness test scores were given to all 4th and 5th grade parents at the October conference.
Our next units will be softball, basketball, hockey and volleyball
Fall fitness club for all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders met every Tuesday and Thursday during August, September and October. We averaged around 120 students each day. The Spring club will start right after the April break.
I love working with the Abbott students in physical education. We work daily to improve our own levels of physical fitness, our grade level skills, showing good sportmanship and always doing our own personal best. We have fun everyday and are learning how to live a healthy lifestyle.
All students need tennis shoes the same three days of the week this year. Hopefully it will make it easier for students and parents to have the proper shoes in class.
Please feel free to e-mail or call me if you have any concerns about your child's level of fitness or skill levels.
Please join us in class at any time.
